The remainder of the day passed quickly.

Karen and Julie walked the beach, sipped on fruit-laden drinks, and talked about nothing in particular. Tyler returned with dinner — a pair of fresh-caught snappers that were flaky and delicious. They had dessert, another cocktail, and then they all watched the sun set over the purple horizon.

“This place is amazing,” Karen told them. She never felt more at peace. “Thanks so much for bringing me here.”

Julie raised her glass to hers and smiled. “Like I told you, it wasn’t even up for debate.” They toasted.

Eventually it grew late. Darkness fell, and the other bungalows grew silent. Not one of them was tired though. According to the jet lag, they shouldn’t be sleeping for several hours.

Finally Julie stood up. She took her husband’s hand and led him up the steps toward their bungalow. Before crossing the doorway, she glanced back over her shoulder.

“Check your room,” she told Karen. “There’s something for you.”

Her friends disappeared inside. Karen stayed on the lower deck for a bit, relaxing and trying not to think about anything at all. It was virtually impossible. Finally she drained her glass and made her way back to her bedroom.

Is this really going to happen?

Karen opened the door to a room full of new flowers and fresh linens. On her bed was a box tied with a red silk ribbon. She sat down and opened it.

It was lingerie.

She picked up the sexy, black lace teddy. She paused only for a moment before slipping out of her clothes and trying it on.

The outfit was gorgeous. It had a halter neck, spaghetti straps, and lace cups that left the tops of her breasts daringly bare. Down below were a pair of black thigh-high stockings and black garters.

Karen checked the mirror. Her legs seemed to go on forever. She felt like a goddess.

Her phone buzzed. She picked it up and checked the text message:

COME JOIN US.
